It wasn’t supposed to be like that. I started Ultimate Fighting about six months ago. It seemed so simple. I knew what I was going to do. I was going to dedicate myself completely. I never fought before in my life but I knew that I would be able to. I was big, strong, and unbeatable in my mind.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. I should have known better than left my bowling trophy on my shelf. I hadn’t seen the thing in years, but of course the darn thing was sitting right on top of the coat I needed for my evening out.

What was even worse was I was going out on a date with this woman from work who I’d been dying to go out with.
