I am so glad I live in Atlanta.  I am a big fan of the Atlanta Falcons.  No one would have thought that they would be this good so soon after the Michael Vick situation.  They had a really good year this year and I am proud with far they have come along in such a short amount of time.  I also like to gamble on sports.  Usually with friends, but as the Falcons continually won this year I became increasingly cocky with my bets!  I usually bet on the Falcons to win because I am a big fan and I believe that people should put their money where their mouth is!  Fortunately, it has been very lucrative this year.  That is until the playoff game — where I was so confident and probably too cocky.  Anyways, as they say in gambling in general, I kind of bet the house on the playoff game and as everyone knows now — they lost in a really close game to the Arizona Cardinals!!!! Now I am broke and pretty much on the street as I signed over the deed to the house this morning.

I’ve always loved weddings, but this one was a hectic one for me. My best friend was finally about to tie the knot, and he asked me to be the best man. Wow, I never thought this would happen. But last week I lost my job. It was has been really difficult to get by since then. Unemployment hasn’t kicked in yet and I had a well paying job as it was. No one messes with the Nessy.  I have been through some rough times lately, but I always come out on top of it.  In the past 12 months, I’ve gotten laid off, got bad credit from unpaid bills, been so short on cash I cut the cable TV.  But not only do I look out for myself, I look out for my friends and family.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. I should have known better than left my bowling trophy on my shelf. I hadn’t seen the thing in years, but of course the darn thing was sitting right on top of the coat I needed for my evening out.
